Biography
Jurena was formed by Reggie and Judge initially as a recording offshoot of the mighty RSVP, West country Bhangra superstars.
The idea was to have a stable of vocalists to work on separate music projects. With the arrival of Nina this idea was shelved as she proved to be the versatile vocalist we were looking for. |
Ju-Re-Na
Judge
Engine
Judge is the song writer of the groups and song ideas come to him every waking hour of the day....and even sometimes in his dreams too!
He writes pretty much non-stop, but unlike most song writers he has the discipline to take the ideas and filter out the "noise" and "crack the whip" to make sure the best ideas get turned into fantastic songs. He also plays Bass guitar, so is responsible for Jurena's smooth grooves. |
RegGenius
Reggie was born and raised in the listening and playing punk rock. Over the years he has added massively to his musical repertoire to now play all types of guitar from rock to jazz to classic!
Reg is the production engine behind Jurena and the man that create most of the music behind the songs. He has a fantastic ear and can tell when something is "just-right"! Reg has his own music production suite in his house and all the album songs started life there with Reg making the music and turning the knobs. |
Nina
Vocalista
Judge & Reggie overheard her singing at a party and immediately knew that was the voice for the band.
Nina was not interested in joining the band, but Reggie convinced her to sing to a track he made at his studio. She improvised the song in one take, and that's "The things you do" on the album! Nina is also a mean lyricist, helping Judge by adding soulful depth to the music. |
"I'm sensitive, and I want you to know, that if you take its slow...i'll give you all I can give.”
